Security Blog

Slashdot post
I found this Slashdot post odd. I don't think we're hearing the full story. Most companies I deal with value their IT security guys pretty highly and wouldn't replace them with a product.

Security Joi
That's not a typo. Ever heard of Joi Ito? I hadn't either until sometime last year. Suddenly, this seemingly larger than life character: multi-millionaire, tech VC guru, social consultant, globe trotting, blogger king appeared on the scene. He infiltrated my digital world - everywhere I went, he was popping up and everyone knew him. Strange. Well, now he's reviewing security audits for the Japanese government. The man has definitely blogged himself to fame, at least in certain circles.

Hacker tales
Kevin Mitnick is gathering hacker stories for a new book - The Art of Intrusion. Believe it or not, I think this is a good idea. The public rarely learns about major security breaches, so perhaps a book like this will open some eyes. It should also be a pretty entertaining read as well.
